The Village Store premises on Holcombe Road was
formerly the home of the Helmshore Co-operative Society. The building was
constructed in 1906 and opened for business in February 1907.The Society
merged with Haslingden in 1931 and closed in the 1960's.These days the site
provides most items that the village residents may require; newspapers,
general goods, an off licence and even a cosy café. The store is run by
Steve Lee and partner Ann Rutter,who took over the business 5 years ago.
Sunday roast is available.. Well worth a visit!
